"Super Sophs was created to fill a void in the Northeast for Rising Juniors. As the recruiting process has started earlier and earlier, the rising junior summer is increasingly important for recruiting at each level of college lacrosse. College coaches -- including those from Harvard, Fairfield, Yale, Stony Brook, Bryant, Hartford, Hobart and Notre Dame -- were impressed by the level of play, and it gave them a chance to take a closer look at players on their recruiting radar. "As someone who has been on the frontlines of the recruiting process, CT Super Sophs was a great opportunity to take the best features of other events and put together an efficient, well-run event that everyone enjoyed," said Chris Meade, event director and co-founder of LacrosseRecruits.com.
